The Role and Responsibilities

As a Harvester, you will be a vital part of the daily harvest operations, ensuring that our high-quality fruits and vegetables are collected and prepared for market efficiently. Your primary duties will include:

• Picking and Harvesting: Carefully selecting and hand-picking a variety of fruits and vegetables (e.g., citrus, grapes, stone fruit, or vegetables) based on size, colour, and ripeness, often using specific tools or techniques.
• Packing and Grading: Sorting, grading, and securely packing harvested produce into crates or cartons, adhering strictly to quality control standards and procedures.
• Crop Maintenance: Assisting with general farm labour, which may include pruning, netting, thinning, weeding, and irrigation setup.
• Loading and Transport: Manually or assisted loading and unloading harvested produce and supplies onto trailers or into packing sheds.
• Safety Compliance: Following all workplace health and safety protocols, including the correct use of equipment and safe manual handling techniques.

• Teamwork: You must be able to work effectively as part of a diverse team to meet daily harvest targets and contribute to a productive work environment.
