The Role
The Production Line Leader/Supervisor is the front-line manager responsible for the efficient operation of a designated production line. You will be instrumental in ensuring that daily production targets are met on time, to the required quality standards, and in full compliance with all health and safety regulations. You will lead by example, fostering a culture of teamwork, efficiency, and continuous improvement among your assigned team of Production Operatives.
Key Duties and Expectations
- Production Management: Take full ownership of the production line's daily operation, including planning labour, materials, and equipment to meet the production schedule.
- Quality & Safety Compliance: Rigorously enforce company policies on product quality, health, and safety. Conduct regular checks (e.g., CCP checks) and ensure all line workers follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Team Leadership: Supervise, motivate, coach, and train Production Operatives. You will be the first point of contact for your team, addressing minor issues, coordinating breaks, and promoting a positive work environment.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and swiftly address any stoppages, faults, or inefficiencies on the line, performing basic machine troubleshooting and escalating complex issues to the Maintenance or Engineering team.
- Documentation: Maintain precise and timely production records, including shift reports, quality logs, waste figures, and handover notes, ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed accurately.

Who We Are Looking For
