Wash, peel, chop, and prepare a variety of vegetables and ingredients, assist cooks with mixing and measuring, maintain cleanliness of all workstations and equipment, package food items for storage or distribution, assist with inventory and stock rotation.

This is a foundational, entry-level position perfect for individuals who are reliable, hardworking, and keen to start a career in the Canadian food service industry, regardless of extensive prior experience. As a Food Preparation Worker, you will be an essential part of the production flow. Your work ensures that our kitchen staff and chefs have all the necessary ingredients prepared to strict quality and quantity specifications. The daily tasks involve working on the production line, performing repetitive tasks like washing, peeling, slicing, and trimming large volumes of various food items (vegetables, meats, fruits) using manual and electrical equipment.

A crucial aspect of this role is maintaining the highest level of sanitation and workplace hygiene at all times. You will be responsible for meticulously cleaning workstations, washing all equipment, sweeping and mopping floors, and handling waste removal according to established Canadian Food Safety protocols. This environment is fast-paced and demands physical stamina, as you will be standing for long periods and may be required to lift moderate weights. Successful candidates must demonstrate reliability and a strong work ethic. This role offers a tangible pathway for advancement into more skilled positions, such as an Assistant Cook, with proven performance and dedication. We provide comprehensive on-the-job training in all food handling and safety procedures.
