The Core Role

Your primary responsibility will be the safe and timely transportation and delivery of goods to various customer locations, adhering strictly to pre-planned routes and delivery schedules. As a Delivery/Van Driver, you will be operating a light commercial vehicle, meaning you must possess a valid driving license for this category in Qatar and maintain an impeccable driving record. The role is physically demanding, involving active participation in the loading and unloading process.

Key Responsibilities in Detail

The successful candidate will need to execute the following core duties in sequence:

1. Vehicle Operation and Safety: Operating the company van safely and professionally at all times, strictly adhering to all Qatar traffic laws, speed limits, and safety regulations. Conducting daily vehicle inspection and maintenance checks (e.g., fuel, oil, tyres) and immediately reporting any mechanical faults or accidents.
2. Route and Scheduling: Following assigned routes efficiently, using GPS or traditional map knowledge to ensure the timely collection/delivery of packages. The ability to adapt quickly to unexpected traffic or routing changes is essential for maintaining our service promise.
3. Loading and Delivery: Assisting with the careful loading and unloading of goods from the vehicle, ensuring all items are secured properly to prevent damage during transit. This task requires physical fitness for loading/unloading.
4. Documentation and Verification: Verifying delivery manifests against the physical goods for both pickup and drop-off points to ensure accuracy. Obtaining necessary signatures, stamps, or delivery confirmation from clients and maintaining accurate logs of daily mileage, fuel usage, and delivery records.
5. Customer Interaction: Maintaining a courteous and professional attitude while interacting with customers and dispatch teams, representing the company brand positively.

Candidate Requirements

We are seeking candidates who meet the following profile:

• Qualifications: Minimum of 8th Pass / Basic Education is required.
• Experience: 1-2 years of verifiable experience in a commercial driving, courier, or general delivery role is highly preferred. Freshers with a valid Qatari license and a strong commitment to learning will also be considered.
• Essential Skills: Valid Light Vehicle Driving License (Qatar) is mandatory. Other critical skills include proficient navigation using GPS/maps, basic Arabic or basic communication skills in English to interact with clients, and reliability to complete the assigned daily schedule.
