This position is ideal for candidates seeking stable employment in a fast-paced environment. We encourage applications from those with little to no prior experience, as comprehensive training will be provided, as well as those who already possess foundational knowledge in warehouse or loading operations. A successful Cargo and Freight Loader must have high standards for safety and efficiency, as your work directly impacts the global supply chain. You must be prepared for the physical demands of the role, including frequent lifting and maneuvering of heavy freight, often utilizing equipment like pallet jacks and, potentially, forklifts (certification is a strong advantage but not mandatory for initial hiring).
Key duties include the physical loading and unloading of inbound and outbound cargo, meticulously checking freight against manifests to ensure accuracy, proper documentation of any discrepancies or damages, and correctly staging goods for storage or next-stage transport. Adherence to all company and national safety protocols is mandatory. As a member of a global team, strong communication skills—even basic functional German or English—are helpful for coordinating with warehouse managers, drivers, and other team members.
